When the first gate dropped at Phoenix, Jordon came around in 3rd place, but it was clear that he wanted the win. smith somehow found his way into the lead and it looked as though he was going
to run away with it. The #39 had a solid gap between himself and second place coming into the whoops on the last lap when disaster struck. Midway through, Jordon dropped his front wheel, forcing the Geico Honda to eject it’s rider in an ugly way. Both bike and rider hit the ground hard. He would walk away but unfortunately Jordon Smith’s night would be cut short. Hope to see him back racing sooner than later.
