DYLAN WALSH

New Zealanders are well known around the world for being a friendly, down-to-earth bunch of people with a determined attitude. Dylan Walsh is no exception as he showed the determination to win 4 national titles by the age of 16 as well as 2 New Zealand TT championships. In an attempt to take his career to the next level, the young Kiwi made the 8,278 mile journey from Christchurch to Cairo
in order to start training full time at the renowned Millsaps Training Facility. Walsh had to make the difficult decision to leave behind his family, friends, and the only home he’s ever known to pursue his dream to become a professional motocross rider. There may not be a better place in the world to accomplish this dream than MTF - one of the most prestigious training camps in the country. The facility based out of Georgia has produced some professional calibre talent in the past couple years, such as Dakota Alix and Geico Honda’s Jordon Smith. Not only does this provide the trainees with a gauge of their speed throughout the week, but it’s proof that the grueling work pays off and the program is the real deal. The work must be paying
off for Dylan Walsh as he has catapulted himself into the foray of top amateur talent with blinding speed and solid results in the B class this year. He rounded out the podium at Mini-O’s (supercross) in the 450 B class, and continued to prove his SX skills by finishing 2nd to Orange Brigade’s Mitchell Falk in the 250 B Limited class at the Daytona RCSX. Walsh has been lighting
up Loretta qualifiers all over the eastern United States in order to earn his ticket back to Loretta’s, sweeping the Malvern LLAQ without losing a moto and finishing 1st overall at Englishtown in all of his classes except 450 B Limited, where he got 2nd. The 18 year old had a weekend plagued with unlucky starts and crashes at the Muddy Creek regional, but he managed to fight through and qualify in 450 B and 250 B. Walsh comes into High Point looking to secure a spot at Loretta’s in 250 B Limited and 450 B Limited in order to avenge his poor results from last year at the The Ranch.
