TANNER STACK
IMAGES / LAKE KILPATRICK
Tanner Stack will be keeping things interesting in the B class this year and attempting to win his first ever Loretta Lynn’s National Title in the process. The Missourian is backed by the Motoconcepts amateur program for the 2016 racing season as well as Monster Energy. Stack’s best finishes at The Ranch came in 2013 and 2014 where he put himself in the top 5 in the Supermini class multiple times, but he’s yet to stand on the
podium at Loretta’s. He’s been an incredibly solid rider since his Supermini days, scoring plenty of top 5’s at both Mini-O’s, Oak
Hill, and the JS7 Spring Championships, but an amateur title in any of those major races still eludes him. Stack does have a title in the Supermini class from the 2014 Millcreek Spring Classic as well as a couple others, but his skill and style on a dirt bike suggests that a more high profile title is on the horizon. His 2nd year in the B class is going decently well, Stack has very rarely finished outside of the top 5 in any of the events that he has entered, although he has had his struggles in certain classes. He managed a 3rd place in the Schoolboy 2 class at the Florida Winter Amateur Series as well as a 5th in the Daytona RCSX in the same class. He fought his way to 3 top 5 finishes at the JS7 Spring Championships, getting 5th overall in all 3 of his classes except the 250 B class where he had problems that would put him in an eventual 33rd place finish. Stack’s road to Loretta’s has been paved with solid results, he qualified for a couple of different regionals through multiple area qualifiers and took 5 overall victories along the way, never missing out on the podium. He had a flawless weekend
at Briarcliff MX in Nashport, OH where he won 250 B, 450 B, and also took home the overall victory in his last eligible Schoolboy class race. The newly turned 17 year old had his worst event of 2016 so far at the Muddy Creek regional where he failed to qualify in either of his classes. The track lived up to it’s name and tricky conditions and a stacked field played a part in his underwhelming results compared to his 2016 so far. He’ll be looking to rebound coming into High Point and earn his tickets to The Ranch.
