Kobusch was the rider that
was able to get out front early; in turn, he set the fastest time
of the moto on the third lap as he left Flock behind. Brown started just behind Kobusch on the opening lap, but he made a mistake early in the moto which forced him back to 5th position. He was able to make up time
on EBR’s Carter Halpain and work his way into 4th position with only one lap to go, but he ran out of time to put his KTM on the podium. Flock was able to inherit 2nd place as a result of Brown’s mistake and he rode a great race to hold onto the position, fending off pressure from Ciaran Naran in the midst of the moto. Brown’s pass after his mistake was enough to bring him 3rd place overall as he rounded out the podium behind Flock and Kobusch.
