COLT NICHOLS
A highly unknown and underrated face amongst the pits, Colt Nichols has taken 2016 by storm through
the first eight rounds of west coast racing. Currently tied for 4th in points with Zach Osborne, Nichols
wasn’t even sure he was going to contend in this year’s series, let alone battle for podium plated plastic. Back in November, Colt’s future was unclear until he landed a ride on the Cycletrader.com/Rock River Yamaha team just in time to saddle up for the opening round in Anaheim. Fitting in with the team instantly, Nichols rode into the top 10 every round with a season worst of 8th place and career best 3rd at the fourth round in Oakland. Having the ability to offer some serious interruptions in the fate of the championship lead- ers, Vegas is one final opportunity for Colt to prove himself and the team as serious elements to the intensity of the 250 class.
