The Motocross des Nationsfirst appearance on American soil took place back in 1987at the ever popular Unadilla, following a six-year streak of consecutive wins for the United States which dated back to their inaugural victory in 1981. Thirty-one years later the world famous race has returned stateside for the fourth time to Buchanan, Michigan, stowed away just above the Indiana state border on the outskirts of Southbend. It’s commonly referred to as RedBud City due to the many trees of the same name that line streets and has been dubbed by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a
Tree City USA community.
