>> After spending most of his professional career on board of a Yamaha 250 with the Star Racing team Jeremy Martin decided to part ways with the team at the end of 2016. The two time 250 national champ easily found a new home with Honda. The new contract put Jeremy on a 250 machine with the Geico Honda squad but also stated that he will be able to move up to the 450 class. Jeremy has two championships to his credit already but has not been able to get a supercross title and he is determined to get that one before he gradu- ates to the premier division. J.Mart is selected to race the 250 East Coast divi- sion in 2018 and since there’s a few weeks of racing on the West Coast before the series heads east, Honda put Jeremy on a 450 to race in preparation. Jeremy did one race last year aboard a 450 machine in supercross and he came away with a spectacular 2nd place. So with him lining up on the gate this weekend at A1 he was the ultimate wildcard. The #6 of J.Mart got a third place start in his heat race but dropped to 4th from a pass from Seely. Sadly Jeremy fell and moved back to 17th early on. Jeremy grind-ed the race out getting himself to 10th with just under two minutes remaining. Martin took the final qualifying position away from Enticknap with two laps to go. @jere- mymartin6 continued to push the envelope even further on the last lap and got by three more riders on his way to 6th. The Geico Honda rider got another top three start in the final. Jeremy got moved out of the way by a few riders includ- ing title favorites Marvin Musquin and Jason Anderson before settling into 6th. Jeremy stayed in sixth place for most of the main event but unfortunately fell outside of the top ten and finished in 11th.
