>> The Blue Buffalo Slator Skins Yamaha rider of Jerry Robin didn’t make his debut to the supercross circuit until round 4 in Daytona. The week leading up to the race Jerry sadly lost his roommate and best friend Dylan Slusser. Jerry did exactly what Dylan would’ve wanted, and that was to make his number #558 proud out on the race track. Jerrys first race as a professional was text book, 10th fastest in live qualifying, 5th in the heat race and almost a top 10 in the main event. Since then Robin has been struggling, even though he
has made the main event in every venue he has signed up for. The bad luck continued to follow Jerry at round 7 of the 2017 Monster Energy East Coast Series in St Louis. Jerry started 10th in his heat race but quickly got up to 7th. Although The #558 of Robin had more speed then the riders around him he kept moving back and forward with his position until it finally looked like he se- cured 8th place. Just over a lap remained and Jerry took a spill in the whoop section that left him on the dirt for quite some time before he managed to get back up under his own will and prepare for the LCQ. Just as soon as the Last Chance Qualifier started it looked like it had ended for Robin as he rounded the first turn 2nd to last. Fortunately Jerry was able to keep his hopes alive as a big rider pile up happened on the first lap putting himself all the way up to 9th before the end of lap one. A few riders ended up hitting the dirt in the final stages allowing Robin to capitalize on the misfortunes of the other racers.
On the final lap Jerry put the hammer down and made a last lap charge to overtake the final transfer for Featherstone. Four minutes into the main event Jerry was around 17th position before fading back to last place. Shortly after the race @jerry_robin194 went to social media to let his fans know what was wrong. He stated that his hand took a good beating in his heat race crash and that it was unsafe to try and race the main event. Luckily for Jerry there is a break in the schedule and he will have time to rest up his injury.
