Jordan Bailey put in some superb results at the california classic and had to overcome some pretty big hurdles to do so. Friday was easily the most challenging day of the weekend for the Team Green rider as he suffered a DNF in the Schoolboy 2 class - the very first race of the day. He got a mid-pack start and was working his way through the pack at the same pace of the eventual winner (Mitchell
Falk), but he wasn’t able to ride a mistake free race. He only made it to the fifth lap of moto, which isn’t the best way to start the weekend, but his grit and determination didn’t allow him to be deterred and he bounced back in 450 B to take the victory after coming across the line in eleventh on the first lap. Jordan was forced to charge through the pack yet again in his last moto of
the day (250 B) after having a miserable start to the race down in thirty-third position. He made up fourteen places in one lap and continued to fight his way to the front of the field, charging through the hard packed Pala dirt to end the race in eighth place. He was clocking the same lap times as the the riders inside the top five all while making passes through the thick of the field which left him with a lot of confidence going into the rest of the weekend. Saturday and Sunday were much better for the MTF rider, the results came much easier for him as a consequence of somewhat better jumps off the starting gate. He didn’t finish off the podium in any of his
last six races and he even broke Mitchell Falk’s winning streak in the second 250 B moto. The two of them started up front and had a heated battle for the top spot. >> >>
