Austin Walton lined up against some fierce competition at the california classic as he competed
in Schoolboy 2 (13-16), 250 Open B/c, and 250 B. In the Schoolboy 2 class, the #500 of Walton was able to get second overal in the championship against some big names including the undefeated Mitchell Falk. The KTM rider from Sparks, NV. came out swinging in the 250 Open B/c class, taking
a come from behind win and setting the fastest lap on lap 7 of 8. Although Walton was the fastest man on the track in moto 1, Brock Papi from Clarmont Florida was the man to beat in the second and third motos. If it hadn’t have been for Papi finishing 4th in the first race in the 250 Open B/C class the overal might have been his, Luckily for Austin he was able to finish with 1-2- 2 moto scores compared to Papis 4-1-1 for the championship.
