>> It was a good weekend all around for the #60 of Benny Bloss as he started the weekend off qualifying 6th overall with a 48.025. Bloss looked at home on this tricky Salt Lake City track. The track really suited Benny more then other riders because of his height. In his heat race he got out of the gate in 6th but dropped a position on the opener. He then got around Vanbuskirk to get back to 6th and then around Catanzaro and Soubeyras to come home in 4th. In the main event Bloss started at the back of the eld in 16th and lost a spot on the opening lap once again to fall to 17th. It wasn’t long until the Rocky Mountain ATV / MC WPS KTM rider made his way to the top ten. He made his way through Cunningham Soubeyras and a fallen Stewart to get to 10th. In the nal stages of the grueling main event Benny was able to get around Tyler Bowers for 9th and Vince Friese at the bitter end for 8th. This 8th place nish ties Bloss’ best result this year. Bloss unfortunately missed the opening three rounds of Monster Energy Supercross but decpite the late start to the season he has been able to gather up two top 10’s and only failed to nish inside of the top 15 three times, two of those times being at his rst two races back. Right now Benny is 16th in the points and baring disaster he should get 15th seeing as he is just one point back of Cole Seely who is out with injury. In fact if the KTM rider didn’t miss the rst three rounds he would be close to the top ten in the series. Outdoors is approaching and the Big Rig of Benny Bloss will be knocking on the door of top ten nishes each time he lines up behind the starting gate.
