>>Tyler Bowers was a rider who was in search of a job in the off season. The former Arenacross champion has had a few “off” years, but in the eyes of many he has still shown promise. Bowers got linked up with Triggr Racing and put to- gether a program to go racing at the beginning of the year. A few good results put Tyler back in the eyes of factory teams and as soon as Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Josh Grant got injured they made the call to Bowers for a ll in ride. It was the opportunity Tyler has been working for and even though there are hiccups happening one thing is clear, the #69 of Bowers has speed. Tyler has steadily been qualifying inside of the top ten with this weekend being no excep- tion as he was 9th fastest only 3/10th’s of a second away from the top 5. @tylerbowers was 7th off the start in the main event and to 5th on lap one. Just a lap later the #69 was back to 7th after getting passed by Justin Barcia and teammate Eli Tomac. Tyler made a move at the end of the heat to get around Friese for 6th. The Kawasaki rider struggle to get out of the gate in his heat race starting in 15th. TB69 steadily made his way through the eld get- ting around the likes of Cunningham, Soubeyras and Stewart to get to 9th. It seemed as Tyler was going to catch the #55 of Friese before the race ended but it ended up that Bowers was forced to be defending from Benny Bloss. Tyler ended up loosing the position and nishing in 10th. If the Kawasaki rider can nish ahead of Reed in Vegas he should be able to get 13th in the season. Kawasaki should be pleased with his ll in effort so far in 2018.
