ROGER HAYDEN
Roger Hayden, the current Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing competitor and former AMA Supersport Champion, announced his retirement from professional racing at the
end of the 2018 MotoAmerica season. As it stands, the tenth round of the 2018 MotoAmerica series
at Barber Motorsports Park will mark the last race of an outstanding career as a professional over the course of the last twenty years. Hayden’s decision represents the end of an era for the Kentucky family, which started as the humble beginning of Earl’s Racing team, before eventually conquering the world in the form of a MotoGP
World Championship with his late brother,
Nicky. The family has gained an
immense amount of respect
from the motorcycling
community
worldwide and
it will be a sad
day in the sport
without any
representatives
from the Hayden
family on track.
