Tyson Johnson is ready to display his talent in front of the world as he heads to the Monster Energy Cup to race the Supermini Class for the first time in his career. The nerves a young rider must feel as the gate is about to drop for race number one must be extraordinary. Not only because of the size of the track and audience, but no rider (not even the pros) have experienced a starting line quite like this one. Dropping into the stadium and into the spotlight the supermini riders see just how fast their bikes can
go as they race down the 470 foot straight away. Johnson would start off his race around 18th position and put on a hard charge. After the 6 laps were over Tyson worked all the way up to 12th. Determined to get a better start, Tyson did just that and came across the white line around 10th place. Avoiding any carnage and drama that typically comes with this event, Tyson finished a solid tenth in race number two and finished 10th overall with 12-10 finishes.
