After an amazing campaign in the 2016 AMA Motocross series aboard a RCH Suzuki, winning 20 out of a possible 24 motos, it was a shock to many when Roczen announced he was parting ways with the team and moving over to the
Factory Honda team. MEC is on its 6th consecutive year and it has quickly became one of the fans favourite race of the year. With 3 short ten lap main events, a completely new scoring system and a joker lane it makes the sport that much more exciting, don’t forget its usually the first place you see riders on their new equipment and new riding gear. The sprint-like format at Monster Cup suits a few riders but it almost seems like this type of race was formed for Ken. While Ken is the defending champion at this 1 off event, his competition was steep with Dungey returning to racing, a healthy rejuvenated Eli Tomac, Reed, and Musquin looking to take the champs crown.
