>> Cole Seely is known for his skills on the Supercross track, this year being teammates with one of the best in the business he is really hon-
ing in on that skill set. The Honda HRC rider was not happy about his sixth-place finish last weekend at Anaheim, knowing how much work he put in throughout the off season. Unhappy with his finish Seely was not going to make the same mistakes he did last weekend this time around
in Houston. Qualifying fourth for the night, it was shaping up to be a good race for the Honda HRC rider. Getting a good jump out of the gate Seely was in second right behind Ken Roczen off the get go. Riding very effort- lessly on the tough Houston track conditions he was able to finish off the race in second place moving onto the main event. After racing a smooth heat race, Seely was looking comfortable heading into the second main event of the season. Getting a good jump out of the gate he was sitting back right around fifth place through the first turn. With some heavy hitters putting the pressure on behind and in front of him the Honda rider kept charging through the rhythm sections making moves. After being hot on his tail for several laps Seely made the pass on Weston Peick moving himself into fourth place. Continuing his charge forward he slowly began to real in Justin Barcia. However, Barcia wasn’t going to give up his spot on the podium easily. Going back and forth, with a little bar banging, Seely was able sneak by Barcia and move himself into third place. With only a couple laps left of the race Barcia was putting the heat on Seely. Trying
to stay consistent through to the finish the Honda HRC made a small but costly mistake leaving the door open for Barcia to get the pass back on him sending him back to fourth. Finishing with a fourth overall for the night in Houston, Seely improved on his finish last weekend leaving him fourth in points and not too far out of the championship race.
