>> Jason Anderson put in the work this off season and it is really showing each
night at the races. After riding a strong race last weekend at the series opener, he got himself up on the podium and just a few points behind Marvin Musquin in the points chase. Putting himself at the front of the pack early on in the season, it looks like it is going to be a good year for the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider. Heading into Round Two Anderson worked hard all week to fix the mistakes that prevented him from reaching the top spot of the podium last weekend. Looking strong all day throughout practice, Anderson set the fastest lap time heading into the night show with a 53.065. Lined up and ready to go for his heat race, Anderson left all the jitters back at the gate as he charged out of the gate and put himself out front right off the get go. Leading every lap of the heat race as if it was effortless, he grabbed the win and was headed for the main event. As the night progressed the track conditions were constantly changing and Anderson was unable to hold onto his fast lap time
he set in qualifying, however he kept his times very close with Ken Roczen’s, the winner of Heat One, going into the main event. As the gate dropped for the second main event of the season, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider laid the power to the ground flying into the first turn right inside the top five. Anderson was riding lose and fast quickly making his way forward chasing down the leader. With Bam Bam Barcia right in front of him for a good portion of the race, taking advantage of a small mis- take Anderson made the pass into second. Now just seconds behind Ken Roczen, it didn’t look like Anderson was slowing down at all. With only a few laps left of the race he pulled the trigger on Ken Roczen and passed for the lead. Continuing to ride ag- gressively Anderson was able to pull a few second lead on Roczen. Grabbing himself his first win of the 2018 season. With Marvin Musquin out for the night he was able to grab onto the red plate as well taking over the points lead.
