>> The series nale is now upon us. It’s been a long, winding road, full of ups and downs, and few have fallen. However, there are those who remain, and want to head into the outdoor rounds with a bit of a boost so to speak, and are willing to give it one last go around as the series hits Sin City. Marvin Musquin didn’t have
to be asked twice, on how much effort he was going to give. As always, it’s either “one hundred percent”, or staying home. It was an all systems go mentality as he embarked on his opening practice session. The rear tread of the tire was nearly reaching a boiling point, due to the friction of wheel spin and the rock solid ground of Vegas soil beneath him. Tapping into all components of the gearbox, every gear would be used on this course of pure speed adrenaline. He would continue to be a blazing trendsetter, once heat race competition commenced. His methodical style had him out to an early front-running pace, as he moved forward past series leader Jason Anderson. He wanted to show that he was still a threat, and by all means, would do so. Chipping away with his calculated composure, he was in no immedi- ate danger of losing the lead. He knew that if he could take the heat race win, he would be well on his way to a great pick. And he would do so, looking ahead as the checkered ag ew. The gate would fall for the main event, and now with Anderson and he in championship contention, Musquin would try his best to get to the front. He would stalk Tomac, as the two blitzed away from the eld. Doing all he could to generate a points gap, Tomac would begin to slip away, as Anderson hovered near fth. Musquin would do his usual hopping through the whoops, and creative lines through these speedy rhythm sections. Running through the laps like clockwork,
it was all he could do to say within close range of the number three. He would be
as smooth as silk in the sand section, but would opt out of the sketchy line Tomac would bonsai; but regardless, the Frenchman was on the throttle. But it was too little too late, as Tomac would hang on to claim victory, and Musquin, just behind to bring the KTM home in second.
