Brookiewhip came out swinging at the JS Spring Championship this year with two solid first motos. A win in Collegegirl and a 3rd in Women’s 14+ had Brook looking at a real shot for a Freestone title. In moto 1 of Collegegirl, Brook had a bad start and was in 8th after the first lap. That position didn’t last long since the Temecula resident was out in front by lap 2 and set the fastest lap time of the moto on lap 3. Moto 2 of college girl saw the #13 chasing the Midwest’s Sam Madelke for most of the race until a mistake on the last lap cost her 2nd and 3rd to Idaho’s Madison Taylor and Delaware’s Shelby Benson. She would go 14 in Collegegirl for 2nd overall. The first moto of Women’s 14+ was a similar story. Out to the early lead, a mistake on lap 2 put Whipple back in 3rd where should would finish 20+ seconds behind the #30 of Jordan Jarvis. Brook’s luck really hit a wall in moto 2, with a first lap crash, she would fight back up to 15th by the end of the moto. Walking away from the Spring Championship with a solid 2nd overall in Collegegirl and an 8th overall in Women’s 14+, Brook Whipple has continued to show her potential with some really impressive rides. With the top spot just out of reach, no doubt she’s eager bring everything together and claim an overall.
