Choosing to compete in the highly touted “B” classes, Jake had a row full of competitors wait- ing to take his place in line and leave him barehanded.
Masterpool had other plans though, beginning with the 250 B Limited class. Placed in heat number two, lap number one saw him cross timing and scoring buried in 31st place. Look up the definition of fight on google and see if this performance pops up on related images; if it doesn’t, it most certainly should be, as he climbed all the way to seventh place in five short laps, setting the fastest lap time in the process. Moto two saw him lunge neck and neck for the top position, but falling just short of Mitchell Falk as they crossed the stripe (01.007 seconds behind). He would take fourth overall.
