Chasing down the points leader, Ken Roczen began his night out in a stacked
heat race. He got a 4th place start, keeping it tight behind Musquin. Not letting the leaders pull away from him, he passes Musquin with just two laps to go getting that better gate pick for the main. Roczen transfers to the main out of his heat race after getting 3rd. Just like the 250 main event the 450 started out with a bunch of chaos. Roczen who barley avoided getting hit by Bogle through the first rhythm section off the start, put himself right into 3rd behind Tomac and Dungey.
