450 SX / TEXAS

>> Arlington Texas proved good for Friese as he was able to get
his best result of the year. The SmartTop MCR rider got his Honda machine off to great starts all night. In the first 450 race of the eve- ning Vince was able to get the holeshot on his privately funded 2016 Honda machine against a gate full of factory backed bikes. Defend- ing champ Ryan Dungey took Friese high in the berm in turn two, shuffling Vince back to 3rd. Consequently Friese kept getting pushed back before making a mistake with two laps to go, forcing him to the Semi’s. Just like he did in his heat race Vince got his Honda machine to the front of the field off the start in his Semi. A handful of factory supported riders made their way around the #61 before he crossed the finish line with the final transfer, keeping himself out of the LCQ. Once again @vincefriese got off to a great start in the main event. Af- ter two laps the MCR SmartTop rider was running in 9th with Dungey breathing down his throat once again. Around the mid way point Fri- ese was running a strong 11th place until hard charging Davi Millsaps made his way by in the late stages. Vince has bettered his finished by two places the past 3 rounds, if the pattern continues we could see the #61 with his first top 10 of the year next weekend in Minneapolis.
