>> Welcome fans and competitors alike, to one of the world’s most eye-catching, ego-driven, and modern day gladiator of forums, AT&T stadium. Visualized and blueprinted by none other than the infa- mous, Jerry Jones, this stadium was built to the hilt with the finest
of all equipment and amenities. From the stadium floor, to the coun- tertops of the concession stands, this place was meant to deliver; if only the racing of 2017 could compare, the atmosphere would be in great shape. And it did, as riders like Hayden Mellross truly left every last piece of their entirety out on the hollowed grounds of this Texas landmark. It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, but from the mo- ment the referee signaled the first practice session, he blistered onto the racetrack with dyer intention. Being out of the series for a few rounds, Mellross wanted to earn his keep and put a lingering effect
on the minds of all when the series hit its stopping point. Rummaging through the pack in the opening laps, Mellross’ 64 machine could be found hitting the triple-triple combination in toe-tapping rhythm. He would even fend off factory riders such as Martin Davalos and Jeremy Martin for the majority of the moto, with a maybe a tad of “ring rust” setting in, and the emotions of racing under these humongous lights starting to take their toll. After building on that solid foundation of a start, the laps would slowly trickle away, and he would end the night with a solid ninth place finish.
