ADAM CIANCIARULO
We have seen many outstanding amateur riders that look like they can be the next Ricky Carmichael. Most recently it could be Austin Forkner, but just a few years ago it was the supermini phenom Adam Cianciarulo. Now I am defiantly not saying that Adam can’t live up to his full potential, in fact he is having (in my opinion) his best season yet. Sure he isn’t winning races like we have seen him do in the past but he is consistently on the starting gate, regaining momentum. The 2013 rookie came into the professional ranks with heavy shoulders, many where expecting him to win right of the bat and that is a lot of pressure to have as a 16
year old racing the best the world has to offer. His first year of racing outdoors was a roller coaster ride with the season being filled with ups and downs in his learning year. With undoubtedly the best trainer in the world Aldon Baker, having one of the greatest riders of all times as a training partner Ryan Villopoto, and equipped with a machine that has been proven to win, it looked like Adam had all the keys to the puzzle to be successful. Since Ryan Villopoto has retired and Adam opted take a new look at his training and parted way with Baker. Injuries have been AC’s downfall, the speed is still there this is just a rebound year where he has to finish injury free if he wants to win his first professional title in 2017.
