MARCUS PHELPS
To chase one’s dream, you must be willing to sacrifice everything. The goal must be at the forefront of your thoughts and dreams, and aspirations must be reiterated with hard work and determina- tion. Enter Marcus Phelps, a young man who’s traveled all across the globe, to reach the pinnacle of the sport; chasing the American motocross, and Super- cross dream. Hailing from South Africa, he began to visit the Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch, a few short years ago in 2015. Steadily, each year, he’s climbed the lad- der, reaching a highlighted fourth place finish in 2017, in the ultra-stacked 250
B Limited division. Now calling Cairo, Georgia a temporary home, Phelps
has placed all bets on himself, rolling
the dice in pursuit of perfection. He’s chasing the toughest competition, and succeeding against them, winning at the RC Daytona Supercross event this year for example. He wants to face every foe, on their best day, to test himself against the most difficult competition. No stone will be left unturned at the end of 2018, and we all know that he has what it takes to be successful, as he steps into his professional career soon.
CONNER MULLENNIX
Moving into the A class ranks not
too long ago, Conner Mullenix has faced the trials and tribulations of a motocross star, hoping to reach the peak of professionalism. However, where many will bow out, and throw in the towel so to speak, Mullennix has faced the division with a full head of steam, gunning for the top at every event he enters. Look at the FMF Cal Classic for example, where he signed up for all three pro divisions; and of the nine moto’s entered, he placed
in the top ten seven times. That’s a remarkable average, and something he plans to continue, for the months to come, as he ventures into the likes of the professional circuit. The speed he displayed in California was apparent; and the fact that he could do it, on a former AMA outdoor course (that of Pala Raceway) spoke volumes to the amount of potential he has within him- self. With the summer months upon us, he hopes to go out with a bang, readying himself for what ever awaits in the near future.
