>> California native Cole Seely put in a solid ride in Lakewood, Colorado this weekend. The number 14 machine lined up for moto one in search of some improvement on last weekend’s sixth place overall at Glen Helen. The Honda HRC rider was not intimidated by the brutal track terrain as rocketed off the start and quickly found himself in the sixth place spot. Put- ting in consistent lap after consistent lap, Cole Seely soon finds third place, but with a quickly approaching Blake Baggett and Marvin Musquin would send Seely back into the fifth place spot. Fifth place was a good place to finish for Seely moving into the second moto. The sun was high above Thunder Valley and riders lined up at the gate, prepared to capitalize on their first moto finish. Unfortunately for Seely, when the gates dropped he did not find the same kind of start that he captured earlier in the day when he came around the first lap in the tenth place spot. With a gnarly track and thirty minutes remaining, Seely dug deep and stayed consistent all
the way to the finish line and passed the checkered flag in the tenth place spot. After a 5th and a 10th, Cole Seely was leaving Colorado with another sixth place overall finish and is sitting in seventh place in points. A great ride by Seely. With a weekend off, hopefully Cole can come to High Point refreshed and ready to capture some even better results.
