>> After an awesome fourth place overall finish last weekend at Glen Helen, Dean Wilson arrived in Colorado with confidence as he lined up for the first moto at Thunder Valley. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider found himself in tenth place off the start, and with thirty minutes plus two laps remaining, he could definitely capitalize. The track was riddled with choppy obstacles and ruts comparable to trenches. With the pressure of heated battles surrounding him, Dean Wilson stayed cool, calm, and collected with each passing lap. The number 15 machine flowed and was able to cross the finish line in the ninth place spot behind Tickle in eighth and in front of Davalos in tenth. With a solid first moto finish, Wilson knew that consistency was key on such an unpredictable track and if he just held it together in moto num- ber two, he could surely capture a good overall for the day. 40 riders, 6000 feet above sea level, endless possibilities. The thirty-second card rose high into the Golden State sky as the riders prepared for some brutal racing, while maintaining focused on the sweet smell of victory. The gates dropped and the rider out of the UK was off to another great start and was sitting in eleventh place on lap one. Wilson immediately started working his way through the pack and flowed into the seventh place spot, where he finished the moto. Dean Wilson showed incred- ible consistency on this grueling and ever-changing track mountainside track. Hopefully Dean can carry this style with him, as well as some great starts, to the next round at High Point and show us all what he is truly capable of.
