>> A lot of people have been anticipating Sean Cantrells transition to the professional circuit and for good reason. In his very first pro race Sean battled for the lead for a good duration until he began to fade back to 10th. Since then Cantrell has battled inside of the top ten multiple times and is sitting 13th in points. The TLD KTM rider had
his first experience with the high altitude levels of the Thunder Valley track located in Lakewood, Colorado and it seemed to push the rook- ie back a few paces. Sean qualified 18th on the day and didn’t seem like himself out on the course. The #129 of Cantrell go a 12 place start in moto #1 got pushed back all race long, giving him his worst finish in his professional career. When the race was done Sean went back to the pits to meet up with his team to discuss strategy going into moto 2. Cantrells start may have been worse in the second race but his riding improved drastically. Sean was all the way back to 17th at one point in moto two before making moves towards the front. @ sean_cantrell made it to tenth but got passed on the final lap by fellow rookie Michael Mosiman, giving Sean 11th. If Sean can get himself into the top ten in points before the season is done his team will be thrilled and I am sure he will call it a successful start to a career.
