>> A week ago at the first ever triple crown event Aaron Plessinger scored his worst overall finish of the year with a 6th. That race also made Aaron loose the red back ground on his Yamaha, dropping him back to 3rd in the in the series. Plessinger was out for vengeance this weekend at round 4 in Phoenix as he came out in the heat race with his first holeshot in over
a year. AP23 was able to lead his heat start to finish with relative ease cruising to a 3+ second lead. When the gate dropped in the main event Aaron came roaring around the first corner with another great start in 3rd. @aaronplessinger_23 had his two championship rivals Joey Savatgy and Shane McElrath just ahead of him. The #23 seen McElrath get around Savatgy for the lead and he knew that he had to get around the Kawasaki rider right away if he wanted a chance
to get the win. Just a lap after Aaron made a move on Joey just before the 85ft triple that ran along the edge of the stadium floor. AP began his charge towards McElrath and it wasn’t long until he was on the rear wheel of the leader. The two riders began to push each others limits
as they pulled away from the rest of the pack. After multiple attempts Aaron was finally able to make his move. The #23 took an opposite rhythm lane out of turn three that lead him into the inside of Shane before the triple. Shane tried to retaliate but Aaron had other plans as he cut off Shanes line going into the next section. Aaron was able to take the lead and he never looked back. At the end of the race Plessinger did one of his signature celebratory dances which included doing the worm. The likeable rider also stated on the podium that he apologized for his aggressive move on Shane but he also made it very clear that he is here to win races and bring home the title. AP is going to be entering round 5 in Oakland with the points lead for the second time this year, being the only 250 rider so far to be leading the championship for more then just one round as a sole proprietor. After three years in the professional ranks does AP finally have what it takes to bring home the bacon?
