Bill Harbinson, owner of the Helmet
Shop in Daytona Beach, FL, is a diehard Steelers fan from Southeastern PA, who moved to Florida in 1968. As a teenager, he rode a Honda 250, started his own lawn service business, played football, and wrestled competitively in high school. While attending State College of Florida, Bill worked for a major retail chain store until graduating with a degree in computer science. He met his wife, Linda, in 1988 while working in Daytona Beach. A
year later, he moved to Daytona Beach and thoroughly enjoyed the Bike Week/ Biketoberfest scene every spring and
fall with friends who also participated
in the events. After marrying Linda in 1992, the Harbinsons researched how
to utilize Bill’s education in computers
and experience in retail, and direct their passion for motorcycles into a business, and officially launched the Helmet Shop
in 1995. Helmets were the main focus of
