Malcom Stewart came into the night ready for redemption after a rough race in St. Louis last weekend. Having been rained on the track was a mud fest and a true showing of skills during qualifying. Stew- art was the first rider to hit the triple in the mud during timed qualifying. Unfortunately it didn’t quite
make the cut to be the fastest because he qualified second for the night show. The Geico Honda rider rode
a completely flawless heat race, getting the holeshot and riding a mistake free race. Finishing first in the heat race Mookie carried that confidence to his Main event. Jumping out of the gate around third he had a good start to his main event. Stewart wasted no time when it came to making the passes necessary to put himself out front, quickly getting by McElrath. Now in first place the Honda ride had the pres- sure on him with Davalos keeping close behind. A little past the halfway point Davalos was able to make the pass on Stewart pushing him back out of first. Now in second, Stewart had Martin all over him and at the end of lap 10 he loses yet another position after Martin made a smooth block pass on him. Unable to hold on and get the positions back Malcom Stewart finishes the Main Event in a respectable third place position. He also gained held onto the red plate gaining himself another four points into the championship race.
