Snagging the final transfer position, Tomac was off to the Main. He once again got out of the gate and put himself into a position right around fifth place, but quickly worked his way into third before lap one was even finished. Lap two was just as busy for the Kawasaki rider, passing Anderson and moving up to second place. From there on the rest of the race was smooth for him. Riding in second place for almost the entire race, Tomac gets the checkers in second place, a much improved finish form these past few weeks.
