Leaving the stage of practice, he and mechanic would head back through the tunnel, a tandem ready to take on the field of play in the coming hours. With the grouping of riders being cut in two, his heat race would contain only half of the allotted main event contenders; therefore he knew he must take advantage, garnering the best position possible. Nearly banging bars with Cooper Webb for a good portion of the race, he knew he must conquer the track, and truly get

he would do so, taking a final position of tenth place, forcing him to the LCQ. In the last chance qualifier, it was a matter of just staying up, and putting the machine where it needed to be; he would conquer the task at hand, taking second.
