>> There’s a certain sense of pride, and swagger when venturing into the Northeast, and in particular, the region of Massacahutesset, ala Boston and its’ surroundings. Don’t confuse their brute certainty with cockiness, as they don’t take kindly to nonsense in these parts, but are more than willing to
lend a helping hand if in need. They’ve had to rally many times throughout their exsistence, and you could see the enthusiasm when simply viewing the crowd. The passion that these shirtless die-hards had when watching their favorite riders compete was phenomenal, and Lorenzo Locourcio fed off of it. Pushing through the mouth-full of sand he accumulated in practice, a simple swish and rinse of the mouth was quickly followed by a smile and thumbs up, when looking to his mechanic; his inner tenacity was enjoying every minute of this round. Lining up with best of the best, he shot out of the gate, quickly latching on to third gear and his rear fender as they crossed the line. He hov- ered over the numerous table-tops this landscape had, and although just a few feet off the ground, his distance horizontally was measuring by the yard, as he just couldn’t let off the gas. Pushing ferociously throughout the majority of the first moto, he wasn’t really showing signs of slowing down, it was just the track was growing grotesque. Pushing into the checkered flag with the top of the class at his bay, he would bring home a twelfth place finish. Buried deep in 18th place to begin the moto, the young Yamaha rider knew he had work to do, even if that meant taking some unorthodox lines. He did, through the Buckley Berm, and everywhere else, running the Cycle Trader Yamaha a gear tall at times, fending through the likes of Bradley Taft, Shane McElrath, and Luke Renzland. He would finish 12-12 for eleventh overall.
