>> Daytona, Florida hosted the 34th annual 250 class Supercross event at Daytona Inter- national Speedway. With bike week in full swing Troy Lee Designs KTM rider Jordon Smith is ready to race. After his best nish this year last weekend at Atlanta competing for the triple crown, Jordon Smith came to Daytona hyped up and ready to nish in the top ve. Qualifying with a solid lap time and feeling con dent in himself and his bike Smith lines up at the start. The second race of the night is almost underway and Jordon Smith is set up on the line head down and ready to go to work. The gate slams to the ground and Smith powers his Troy Lee Designs KTM to the front of the pack pulling the holeshot. Riding his own race and making sure he hits his marks Smith holds onto the lead in the 250 second heat race. Six minutes and one lap down and the KTM racer is stealing the show in this heat race. Last lap and riding a seemingly perfect race Jordon crosses the nish line and takes home the win granting him a perfect position on the starting line for the Supercross 250 main event at Daytona International Speedway. Lined up at the start and the main event is nally underway. Jordon Smith shoots out of the gate pulling the holeshot. Not worrying about what is behind him the Troy Lee Designs KTM Rider charges hard as he tries to maintain that rst position. As other riders battle and push eachother around for top positions behind him, Jordon Smith keeps his Troy Lee Designs KTM pinned and holds the rst position and they race is underway. Dancing through the whoops and soaring over the jumps with ease Jordon keeps his KTM held wide open pushing himself and his bike to maintain the rst position. Jeremy Martin is starting to chase down Smith. One lap to go and Jeremy is nipping at Jordon’s heels. With every turn, jump, and rut the Geico Honda rider is inching towards the TLD KTM Rider. Finally the straight away before the nish is here. Smith doesn’t let off as he has the Monster Energy nish line in his sight. Finally the checkered ag is out and Jordon Smith wins at Daytona.
