>> Jeremy Martin is known for being a dominating outdoors motocross rider, so when it came to the Daytona race Martin was geared up and ready to take the bull by the horns. With the track set up towards his style Martin was gliding over the jumps and whoops
with ease. Qualifying with the second best lap time Jeremy made it clear he was going to be in the top ve. Martin lines up and the gate drops down into the Florida clay. Coming out of the gate with a mid pack start the number six Geico Honda rider holds it pinned as they make the rst turn onto the grueling track. As each lap passes the track breaks down more and more. Battling his way towards the front of the pack Jeremy is sitting in the third spot behind his teammate RJ Hampshire. RJ Hampshire crashes and opens up a window for Martin. Martin gains the second position a couple seconds behind Osborne. Only a few laps in and the red ag is own stopping the race. The Geico Honda rider takes the sec- ond position at Daytona for heat race two in the 250 class. A short intermission and time for Martin to rest up and get his head in the game. Jeremy sets himself up on the line for the main event. The 30 second board lowers, his head goes down and Martin takes off as the gate on his Geico Honda. The rst turn comes and Jeremy positions himself perfectly into the front of the pack. Not worrying about anything but nishing rst Martin puts his head down and goes to work. The minutes tick away on the clock and Jeremy continues to gain positions towards the front of the pack. The track is deteriorating beneath the bikes and getting tougher and tougher with each lap. Jeremy gets kicked coming off a jump, but holds it together and holds onto his second place position. Martin goes off another jump and gets kicked again, but holds it together. With only two laps to go Jeremy continues to push his Geico Honda 250 to its limits. Forkner is nipping at Martin’s heels as there’s only one lap left. The Geico Honda rider doesn’t give up though, he powers his CRF 250 until the end holding his position in second place. The checkered ag ies and Jeremy Martin nishes in second place at Daytona Internatioal Speedway in Daytona, Florida.
