>> New to the JGR Auto Trader Yoshimura Suzuki team for the 2018 supercross sea- son is North Carloina native Kyle Peters. Peters joined this team at the end of the 2017 season and kicked off his Supercross debut as a pro rider at Arlington. Getting a 15th
at his rst race in Arlington, Texas Kyle was geared up and ready to make his new team proud. Onto Tampa, Florida and Peters lands himself a 13th place. Improving two spots form the weekend before the new rider for the JGR Auto Trader Yoshimura Suzuki team was looking promising as they headed onto Atlanta, Georgia for the triple crown event. Atlanta was a set back for Peters though. Not even racing the main event Kyle was looking forward to going to Daytona. With the weather perfect and the track in pristine condition Peters got all geared up and went out to qualify for his heat race. Putting down his best lap times Kyle had the 11th best lap time which put him into a good position for heat race. Lined up for the second heat race of the night and of the 250 class, Peters got set up on the gate. Head down and throttle turned the gate drops. Coming together with the other riders Peters holds his line as they come into the rst turn. Battling back and forth Peters gets into fth place. Peters keeps his JGR Auto Trader Yoshimura Suzuki wide open as the clock withers down to laps. The second heat race comes to and end and Kyle nishes in 5th place and ready to take on the main event. As the other races continue on Kyle Peters takes a short break and makes adjustments to his bike to acco- modate the loose sand and dirt here at Daytona. The time comes and the 250 nal race is called to line up. Con dent and ready to improve Kyle hops on his JGR Auto Trader Yoshimura Suzuki and put his head down as the gate falls to the ground. Flying into the rst corner surrounded by competitors Kyle bumps elbows as he tries to keep his posi- tion in the middle of the pack. Getting his best career start Peters continues on through- out the track one jump at a time. Laps pass and time ies by as Peters nds himself in 7th place. Kyle continues to push his JGR Auto Trader Yoshimura Suzuki, he nds Sean Cantrell. The last lap is underway and Cantrell is in Peters’ grip. The checkered ag is out and Peters nishes in seventh place his career best nish.
