As the season nears its end and you take a look back on Jason Andersons year you will think of his aggressive riding style and the ability to make passes happen in a hurry, which is all good, but that alone won’t win you a championship in the premier class, you need a
good start to follow up with it. El hombre is sitting a pretty 3rd place overall in the point standings, but his starts held him back from possibly taking second from the #94 German rider of Roczen. Tonight at round 16 in MetLife Stadium was no different for Husqvarna leader, after rounding the first corner well outside of the top 10 it was clear Jason had to put his skills to work if he wanted a good result. The #21 had lap times that matched top finishers such as Dungey and Tomac but finished well behind them and could only salvage 6th by the checkers. The day started out strong for Anderson who finished 4th in qualifying practice with a 46.214, just ahead of both the #5 and #94. Heading into the first 450 heat race of the night Jason was looking to get a good start and put himself into the main event with ease. Unfortunately another bad start had Anderson playing catch up.
