>> After a moto finish within the top ten last weekend at Budd’s Creek, Troy Lee Designs Redbull KTM rider Sean Cantrell arrived at Ironman ready for a repeat performance. This being the final round of the season, fan’s enthusiasm was at an all time high and they were ready for some last first 250 race action to be under- way. The action proved to be prominent when California’s Sean Cantrell came hauling through the first turn in the fifth place spot. It was not over yet though, folks. By lap two, Cantrell had made his way into the third place spot, a podium position. Would Sean Cantrell be a podium contender? He was definitely proving himself capable, but only time would tell. After a pass by Sexton, Cantrell moved into the fourth place spot and then into the fifth place spot soon after that. With one lap remaining, the excitement was only beginning as Mitchell Harrison and Cantrell went into battle. With both riders giving it their absolute all and only one corner remaining until the checkered flag, Harrison was able to make a pass that stuck and Sean Cantrell finish the moto in the sixth place position. After an awesome first moto performance, eyes were on Cantrell as the thirty-second board went up for the very last 250 moto of the season. Unfortunately, Sean Cantrell was not able
to seize the same excellent start like he did in the first moto and he came out of the first corner in the twentieth place position. Sean Cantrell did not let this break him though and he was able to work his way through the tough track terrain and move all the way up to the twelfth place spot by the time the checkered flag came out. With 6-12 finishes resulting in an eighth place overall, Cantrell left Indiana with two awesome moto performances under his belt and a fourteenth in season points standings.
