Fineis chose to contest the 85 (9-13) class, Mini Sr. 1, and Mini
Sr 2; regularly fighting for the podium in all three. He showed an immense amount of consistency from the first motos on Satur- day to the final motos on Monday, finishing 2nd on five occa- sions and 3rd on three separate occasions. He only finished off of the podium once due to a small mistake,
but he still rebounded for a fourth place fin- ish and maintained a strong overall finish. The KTM rider was aiming to come away from the weekend with a moto medal, but he wasn’t able to achieve that goal due to an incredibly impressive weekend from Gavin Towers. Nonetheless, Fineis was one of the standout riders in the 85cc ranks as he put himself in good posi- tions on the track all weekend long. The Indiana native ended up with two 2nd place overall finishes in the 85 (9-13) class and the Mini Sr. 2 (12-15) class and a 3rd place in Mini Sr. 1, completing a successful weekend at Baja Acres.
