>> The man out of France who now calls Clermont Ca home has had a break out year this 2017 season. Marvin Musquin was able to clinch his first 450 win this season in Arlington and backed it up with another win in Seattle, and possibly could’ve had a third win last weekend in New Jersey after a contro- versial 2nd place finish where Marvin moved out of the way for his teammate Ryan Dungey who was in a tight points battle with Eli Tomac. Musquin also finished on the podium 10 times this year with his worst finish being a 15th at round 10 in Daytona, that was until tonight where he finished last at the final race. With 2017 possibly being Ryan Dungeys final year racing profession- ally Factory KTM resigned Marvin for two more years and you should expect the team to mold Marvin into a champion in the premier class as he will be their top rider. That is a for sure but one thing unknown is what happened to Marvin this weekend? Why did he pull out of the race while running 6th in the main event?
Although Marvin looked to be comfortable in live qualifying he just didn’t seem the same when it was time to race. The KTM rider started 8th in his heat race and only moved up to 6th. In the Semi Marvin got the holeshot
but was pushed back to 2nd by Justin Brayton. Marvin was all over Justin
for most of the Semi and it looked as if he was going to get around the #10 Honda rider. Brayton showed that he is a player when it comes to Supercross racing and held on for the win. Marvin started 9th in the main but couldn’t make the fast moves we’re all used to seeing by the #25. He would eventu- ally finish in last place making it his worst finish of the year. Thankfully he had a big enough points gap back to hang on for 3rd in the championship stand- ings.
