>> Heading into the final round of the 2017 Supercross season Josh Hill had already clinched his title and was just looking forward to doing what he does best. Not having the pressure of a championship loom-
ing over head, the Monster Energy Kawasaki rider was able to go out and just have some fun with it. Looking stoked as ever all day Hill got a decent jump out of the gate in heat race placing him right around 6th. By the second lap he fell back to 7th after Mcelrath passed him. Riding like the champion he is, he quickly made the pass back and then continued forward passing Dan Reardon and Kyle Chisolm moving into 5th place. Finishing the heat race in 5th, Hill was off to the final main event of the year. Ripping hard out of the gate showing off that Kawasaki power he was sitting around 5th through the first turn. Savatgy, one of the East coast riders fighting for the championship goes down moving Hill into 4th. Then Jordon Smith makes a mistake moving Hill up another position into 3rd. Then on the third lap he passes Martin Davalos and moves into second. Riding consistent and strong through the finish, the Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider finishes off the final 2017 Supercross race with a second overall. 2017 was a memorable year for Justin Hill winning his first ever 250 West coast Supercross title.
