#15 Dean Wilson: Red Bull KTM
Some guys perform early on as amateurs and some do not. With that said, some guys never perform quite the same after their amateur years. Fortunately for Dean Wilson, that’s never been a problem. Dean worked his way through
the United States amateur motocross scene, cleaning up in his final year as an amateur and earning himself the coveted Horizon Award before diving head first into a successful start to his pro career. Dean’s trip to where he is at now was his own individual story, having to jump quite a few hurdles and relocate for much of his life in an effort to make it happen. Moving throughout Scotland and Canada before finally ending up in California, Dean was on the go until finally making it to the place he needed to be to pursue his goals. Wilson has always earned rides aboard amazingly strong teams, stepping into the game with the assistance of Mitch Payton and company early on. Wilson stung the competition in 2011, grab- bing up the 250 Outdoor championship proving he meant business as a profes- sional as well. Deano now sits aboard a Ready to Race Red Bull KTM 450 and is more than ready to take on the competition in 2016. A few injuries throughout the past few race seasons caused a minor slow down on Dean’s progression to the top of the 450cc class however his track record and work ethic certainly keep him in the running. Wilson has been working his fingers to the bone in preparation for his attack on the 450 class at Anaheim 1. No stranger to the speed and intensity required to run atop the pack, from the looks of things he is entering the new year stronger and hungrier than ever for the top spot.
