>> The dirt in Indy looked prime and riders were picking up traction galore, but I think that with only six rounds left and such a demanding layout, some riders were more cautious in tonight’s approach. Dean Wilson lined up for the second 450-heat race of the evening. Quickly, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider found himself with a middle of the road start and came out of the heat with a twelfth place finish, sending Wilson into, what would be, an exciting first 450 Semi. The number 15 machine was deep in the mix out of the gate with some of the best starters in
the game. Friese got the Semi holeshot with Bogle, Alessi, and Wilson breathing down his neck. Dean Wilson found himself battling with Alessi, while throwing a little bit of that famous #legswag around, Dean was soon able to stick a pass on the number 800. Wilson was not finished yet though, and he passed Vince Friese. Dean-o finished in a comfortable second place spot, behind Bogle in the lead, and was moving upward and onward into the Main Event. With a thirteenth place finish in Daytona last weekend, Wilson knew that he had to be within the top ten this week in Indy to maintain his ninth place overall points position.
The click of the metal starting gates sounded, and the riders were wide open. Right off the bat, Dean Wilson was sitting within the top ten. After battling back and forth with Barcia, he eventually found himself in eleventh where he would finish the moto. Dean Wilson is now tenth place in overall points standings moving forward into round twelve in Detroit next weekend.
