>> Trey Canard found himself face to face with some battles at Round Eleven in Indy. In the second heat, the number 41 machine was in sixth place early on in the moto and he knew that he needed that fifth place spot to move directly into the prestigious Main Event. After quickly pass- ing Justin Brayton for fifth, Canard was in a fight for fourth with Vince Friese and was able to make a move stick. Little did Trey know, Malcolm Stewart was gaining momentum from the back and coming in hot after skimming past Friese in a set of gnarly whoops that were changing their landscape with each passing lap. The 41 and 47 were neck and neck for the fourth place spot. Malcolm eventually prevailed, putting Canard in a fifth place transfer position finish.
Sadly, luck was not on the KTM Redbull rider’s side off the start- ing gate in the Main Event. Trey Canard found himself pushed into the back of the pack exiting the first corner. Canard did not become extin- guished by the bad start and was able to redeem a few positions. With two laps to go, Canard made the pass on Jake Weimer and was able
to move up into the fourteenth spot, finishing in front of fellow Oklaho- man Justin Bogle in fifteenth. Hopefully Trey Canard can get the starts
he needs in Detroit next weekend, because with a little focus and a killer start, we all know that this rider out of Edmond, Oklahoma is a force to be reckoned with.
