Rumor has it that Chad is preparing to lace his tire tread with Vegemite in hopes of getting a little bit more “grip” on the slick California surface. He’s looking for the roost of his Yamaha to be a tad more tangy than usual, and forcing his competition
to use their tearoffs sparingly.
This season has been both up and down for Chad. It seems as though in the earlier rounds, he was a true contender for race wins. His results seem to skew from there, as one week would find him in twelfth, and the next, back into the top five.
With the series returning to California, Chad plans on rekindling the fire that the beginning stages of the tour brought to him. If history is any indication, the tougher the terrain and bigger the whoops the better, and Santa
Clara looks to provide just that.
