Harley-Davidson culture shift
Harley-Davidson first dipped their toes into the sport-standard mar- ket back in 2017 with the Street Rod 750. After a couple of years and multiple changes, the manu- facturer is doubling down on their initial investment with the an- nouncement of the 2019 Harley- Davidson Street Rod. Shorter steering geometry, a more ag- gressive rider triangle, and a
more powerful engine coexist to transform the original model into something completely different. It’s a brave business strategy by the American manufacturer as the territory is regularly occupied by Asian and European manufac- turers, but it’s all part of a culture shift that Harley-Davidson is attempting to fulfill to keep their relevancy in all realms of the motorcycle market.
