The seventh annual James Stewart AMA Spring Championship kicked off under perfect conditions in the Lone Star State as the fastest amateur riders in the Nation gathered at Freestone County Raceway in the small town of Wortham, Texas. This particular race has held it’s place in the grueling amateur schedule as a proving ground moving into the professional ranks for a number of years -- established professionals such as Jeremy Martin, Cooper Webb, and Austin Forkner have chosen to make the James Stewart AMA Spring Championship their final race on the amateur scene, therefore placing it in high regard among the industry. Mother Nature provided those in attendance with a multitude of conditions ranging from high winds, dust clouds, torrential rainfall, and blazing heat, but the show continued to plow onward through the adverse conditions. It was a successful week of racing at the seventh annual James Stewart AMA Spring Championship, providing the perfect resolution to the spring nationals as all of the competitors begin to shift their focus toward the upcoming major races on the calendar.
