>> The belongings are gathered, the caravan’s intact, and the freight is now being shipped from west to east. The rounds of inception are long in the past, the series is beginning to mold, and form into a solid wave of momentum, rather than an inconsistent cluster of erraticism, in which was the case early on. This round not only offers differences in time zones and accents, it brings along a multitude of other variables as well, such as humidity, and preceding monsoons. But throughout all of the aforementioned, one rider is available to take aim upon command, and he goes by Jeremy Martin. The track to begin the day was an absolute grotesque pattern of foreign ruts, weaving and wrapping like a bundle of snakes, ready to lock on and grab you at any particular moment. He looked strong, however, balancing on the balls of his feet, and always gazing yards ahead; he, along with everyone else in the field, were yearning for that illusive 2:01 mark, that no-one could seem to find throughout qualifying. Once back to the semi, the bike was meticu- lously washed and shined, the masses of Pennsylvania mud falling to the ground. Rolling into his pad for moto one, sweat gleaming from his brow, he knew that task at hand, and what he had set in place to achieve it. The moment was now. The gate falls, and the field storms into turn number one, the short stature of Martin rips off of the line. The number 6 appearing as a red blur to all in attendance, the former national champion restored back to his old ways. Flowing with the severe-degreed of off-cambered corners, and tapered land- ings, Martin seemed to have the lead in tact; until the number 16 of Zach Osborne had a change of plans. Being stalked by the Husqvarna, he fought with all of his will, but couldn’t with stand the pressure. He was overtaken, and would settle here, finishing second for
the moto. The following round had a new set of plans in order; it was to again be in the front, but hold it for the entire duration. Following in the footsteps of his brother, they led moto two in the early stages. He would hound his elder, leaving the notes from the days in the backyard together to the wayside, and pushing around the number 26 on lap nine. It would be smooth sailing from here on out, his hand pumping as he rounded the final left, cresting the finish line jump with a hand in the air. Victory is sweet, and his expression on the podium sure showing it.
