>> Dominating the points this outdoor season Marvin Musquin has been consis- tent finishing top ten the last three rounds of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Cham- pionship. The same was expected from the Redbull KTM rider as we headed into round four at High Point. But a torn meniscus that occurred in practice two days prior to the big race would change everything for Marvin. Struggling to set pace in qualifying Marvin was ready for the first race of the day. The gate dropped and the number twenty-five is in 13th for the holeshot. Not being able to get a start Musquin struggled to get to the front of the pack. Riding with a torn meniscus took its toll on Marvin and he finished the first moto in sixteenth.
Moto two was redemption time for the Redbull KTM rider. With the sun beating down the rough muddy terrain from earlier in the day changed the track to dry, dusty and tough. Gate drops for the second race of the day for the 450 class this time around Marvin takes 10th.
In true Marvin fashion, he puts in the laps and makes pass after pass chasing down Tomac who’s in the top five. Knowing points are on the line Musquin isn’t letting anything stop him in this race, even a torn meniscus. Rider after rider Mar- vin charges through the deep ruts and comes up to Josh Grant who’s in seventh. Battling back and forth Musquin makes the pass on Grant. Grant tried to make a comeback and slipped out of a rut falling over leaving Marvin to take the seventh position. The Redbull KTM rider continued to push forward. Coming up on Cole Seely, Marvin slide by with ease. With true determination and grit Marvin threw the hammer down to finish the last two laps of moto number two. Checkered flag comes out and Marvin sealed the deal by taking 6th place finishing 11th overall at High Point Raceway. Still in the running for the Championship Musquin is going to continue to be a force to be reckoned with.
